Making Markets Matter sucess at Shipley

The second Making Markets Matter event of the summer took place on Shipley Market, West Yorkshire. Despite the humid weather and black clouds that hung over the market for most of the day, the event proved a huge success. The people of Shipley were out in force to support their local market, with many of them praising the quality of stalls and friendliness of traders on the market. Our Master Chef Geoff Tookey cooked up some culinary treats, using produce off the market and from local businesses. Whilst the voucher vault and market wheel proved a big hit with the younger generations who flocked to the market to collect their prizes and to have their faces painted.
As usual the NMTF mascot Victor the Lion turned up to lend a helping hand or paw to the festivities.
